Anti-Semitism envoy, condemner of watermelons, declines to comment on Nazi terror attacks on First Nations and Palestinians

Summary for flaky, attention-span deficient types: First Nations and Palestinian allies stood strong against Nazi assaults in the Melbourne CBD, and at Camp Sovereignty, while the “Anti-semitism envoy” Jillian Segal refused to condemn the Nazi terror attack and rallies.

This is a tale of two cities and two gatherings of racist, genocidal supremacists: one group dressed in pantsuits, kitten heels and quaffing champagne at a kept-secret Gold Coast hotel funded by US-based Zionists. The other group draped in black, boiling with hatred, alcohol and shame at their micropenises, chanting Nazi slogans as they terrorised First Nations people and Palestinian activists at Camp Sovereignty in Naarm/Melbourne. The two gatherings of supremacists are inseparably linked – and not in the way the ABC would have you think.

Last Sunday’s “March for [White] Australia” was among the bleakest days in this nation’s recent bleak history. It was, fittingly, accompanied by MP Tony Burke’s kept-on-the-low-down trip to Nauru to bolster Australia’s offshore refugee-trafficking network. Once a genocidal colony, always a genocidal colony, and the trajectory is alarming.

Last weekend, the Overton Window goose-stepped its way to Victorian Parliament House as National Socialist Network leader Thomas Sewell addressed a crowd from a podium draped in the Australian flag. Later that afternoon, Sewell and his mob of Nazi shitheels stormed Camp Sovereignty. Two Indigenous women were hospitalised, many more were left in shock.

The following day, at the site, Yaraan Couzens-Bundle, present during the terrorism, told us she felt lucky to be alive. “The allies showed up for us yesterday, and that’s why I have the strength to talk today.

“I witnessed several women being targetted and physically abused. One woman was grabbed by her forearm into the pack of Nazis in a windmill, and they slung her around into a chokehold, then dropped her on her head. Then when she was unconscious, they laid the boots in.

“I’m all about standing in our traditional love and our culture. We’re peaceful warriors, and we’re inclusive. Everyone has a place in this story and the future of Australia and what it could be without these Nazis. To the rest of Australia, thank you for your support.”

Nathalie Farah is a Palestinian activist. She was also there, standing in solidarity as Sewell’s mob closed in, defending the First Nations’ space.

“Once they got to the bottom of the hill, they started chanting war cries. Then they ran. They were holding poles and rocks, and the next thing we knew a bunch of us were getting tackled and punched and kicked in a very violent way.

“I had faith in the people I was with, that we were going to stand together and hold Camp Sovereignty. We did not want the Neo-Nazis to come in and destroy the beautiful space that is Camp Sovereignty. I’m very proud that lots of people stood up.”

If you are concerned for the future we are leaving behind for our children, this should trouble you far more than trans people wanting to use the fucking toilet.

Few of Australia’s establishment leaders met the moment with anything other than centrist hair-spitting as focus groups ran the numbers in the background, trying to determine just how many votes are won with appeasing genocidal fascism – and how many are lost by showing spine and moral conviction.

“There would have been good people who went along, heard about a rally…” Albanese began unpromisingly on ABC News.

“They’re concerned about access to housing and rental,” interrupted Patricia “please untag me” Karvales, nowadays as much a prop in a Paul Verhoeven movie about an oppressive, corporatised shithole as she is a journalist.

“Of course,” Albanese replied, toadily. “But look at who you’re marching with on Sunday, and the motivation that they have? Which isn’t about housing or our economy. It’s about sowing division.”

We’re talking about fucking Nazis, mate, you can go harder than this!!

“What did you think about what they did at Camp Sovereignity?” asked the RoboCop scene dressing.

“Exactly!” the PM hucked. “Here, you have people saying they are against migration. Well, the first Australians were here before any migrants. That sort of violence has no place.”

And that was the extent of it. The entire comment on the racially motivated terrorism before Karvealis was able to Julius-Strichter her way to a different line of enquiry, wondering if all of this was actually because the PM hasn’t supported Israel’s genocide stridently enough. The state of this colony!

The anti-semitism envoy was predictably even less impressive when asked to condemn the Nazis and the March for [White] Australia rally.

“I don’t want to comment on any particular incidents as I think this goes beyond any particular incident, this is part of the fabric of our society. We have found that fabric is shredded. Antisemitism is actually shredding it,” said Jillian Segal, Special Envoy for Shut the Fuck Up About the Genocide in Palestine.

She said this from a swanky Gold Coast hotel while hosting a junket with the clear unstated purpose of spreading Israeli propaganda to local power-players so they can seep poison into the rest of us (and we don’t even get the free Gold Coast junket for it, wtaf!).

She did have plenty to say about watermelons, though. Deepcut News has revealed slides shared with attendees. The audacity of these corrupt genocidal thought police should be apparent to even the disengaged punditry at this point.

And why would Jillian Segal want to comment on the Nazis, anyway?

Her family trust donated $50k to Advance, a key promoter of the xenophobic fascism on display at last weekend’s Nazi rallies.

Every Australian mayor that attended that Zionist baby-killing brainwashing summit on the Gold Coast should be on a list all Australian voters have access to. Junket-driven corruption is gross at the best of times, doubly so when it’s about manufacturing consent for a genocide. The mayors and councillors that accepted money, flew to the Gold Coast to learn how antisemitic watermelons are, have sold their souls. Their constituents, and their children, should be able to judge them in the light of day accordingly.

“When pets are treated better than humans, something is deeply wrong,” Farah later told me once the corporate press pack had wandered off to write their articles, no doubt framed entirely differently from this one.

“It feels like there’s maybe five to seven years left in which we can have any type of resistance. Surveillance is getting completely out of hand, and it soon won’t be possible to do anything without being known. For a lot of people, that’s a pretty big barrier.

I asked Farah why the Australian Jewish Association hadn’t condemned the rally after condemning every single anti-genocide rally and watermelon sighting across the last two years. “What I’m happy about is that everyday Australians are starting to notice, to see the Emperor without any clothes.

“It’s becoming clear where every government and organisation sits. Who are their allies? What do they actually care about? And how far are they willing to go?

“White Australia is not yet being impacted by the genocide. It’s far away, both physically and psychologically. They are very protected against that. I am of the opinion that until it starts to affect their everyday life, they won’t give a shit. Why would they? It’s a settler-colony. So why would they care about a genocide happening elsewhere? But once they’re the target, once they can’t afford to pay the rent anymore, once they can’t eat, and suddenly there’s drones watching them, then they’ll care. And it’ll be too late.

“I do what I can. One day I’ll have kids and I want to be able to look them in the eye.”

The global context for all of this, of course, is that Israel is a nazified racist shithole presently stretching human depravity to new depths, attempting to murder the significantly dwindling remains of 2.3 million trapped humans in Gaza. Capitalism has rotted into fascism across the western world in support of this ghoulish enterprise, and it’s only going to get worse from here.

Do not be complacent, we are on a similar descent as the Americans. At this crucial juncture, I would urge us all to try and not to be too Australian about this (confused, unbothered, relieved that mask-off racism is back in fashion). Centrist tinkering is not the answer. Parliament has sold out in a bipartisan fashion, aided and abetted by a pissweak establishment media. And it is the Australian Labor Party’s Zionist and neoliberal wings (basically all of it), just as much as it is the now-irrelevant Liberal Party, at the forefront of our local collapse into authoritarian, secretive, fascistic rule.

It is time for everyone to make a choice. Fascism is a virus. If you tolerate the intolerable, you rot into the disease itself. Stand with the Australians, the Palestinians, the socialists, the anti-Zionist Jews that faced down Nazi thugs in Melbourne and protected our open, democratic spaces, side-by-side with our First Nations brothers and sisters. Or stand with the baby-killing freaks starving Gaza to death, subverting your right to protest, your right to speak truth, your right to democracy, to peace, to justice.

There is no neutral. Pick a side.
